How Afterpay Works

Download the Afterpay app on Google Play store or Apple App Store and add Afterpay Card to your digital wallet.

Tap the “Open Wallet to Pay In-Store” button to activate the Afterpay card and tap your phone to complete your purchase.

3.

You’re all set! Take your purchase home today and pay the rest later. Payments are due every two weeks.

What is Afterpay?

Afterpay allows you to shop all your Red Dot favourites and pay over time. Split your purchase across 4 installments, due every two weeks.

All payments are interest-free and there are no additional costs, as long as you pay on time.

How does Afterpay work?

When you use Afterpay, you pay for your items in 4 equal instalments over 6 weeks, without incurring any interest.

We pay the retailer in full and upfront on your behalf. You pay for the first instalment of 25% at the time of purchase, and the remaining three instalments will be automatically deducted from your nominated debit or credit card over the following six weeks.

Why is Red Dot introducing Afterpay as a payment method?

Afterpay is being introduced as another payment option, allowing you to pay and receive your order straightaway, without having to wait until you can pay in full. Using Afterpay means you can pay your order off over four instalments, plus you can secure items before they sell out!

Is Afterpay available for Click and Collect orders?

At this stage, Afterpay is only available for in-store purchases $25 and over.

Is there a minimum spend to use Afterpay?

Yes, Afterpay is only available for online and in-store orders over $25.

Who can use Afterpay?

Afterpay is available as a payment option if:

Live in Australia
Are at least 18 years old
Have a valid and verifiable email address and mobile phone number
Have a valid Australia bank payment card to make a purchase
Are capable of entering into a legally binding contract

Does it cost extra to use Afterpay?

Afterpay is a free service when you pay on time – there are no upfront fees charged or any interest incurred.

The only fees that may be incurred are late fees if your scheduled payments are unsuccessfully processed and, after being notified, you do not log in to your Afterpay account to make your payment via a different method.
