Every month Red Dot supports a local charity. For the month of May, we are proud to help raise funds for Epilepsy WA.

Epilepsy WA has been supporting the WA community for over 60 years and provide vital support services to the 1 in 25 that will be diagnosed with epilepsy, their families, and carers.

Epilepsy WA relies heavily on community support to keep their support services running and work tirelessly to raise awareness, reduce stigma and to help people better manage their epilepsy and to reduce their risk of epilepsy related harm.

Their current services include:

• An information telephone line
• In-house nurse support Seizure alert device loans
• The largest display of seizure alert technologies in Australia
• The largest head protection display in WA A children’s book library
  Nationally recognised epilepsy training
• In-person support Groups across WA facilitated by nurses and OT professionals
• A compassionate ear service manned by qualified volunteers with a lived experience of epilepsy
• Community Education, patient & carer conferences, seminars & webinars
• Epilepsy Smart Schools program
• Awareness raising events and activities
• Epilepsy grief & loss support
