Red Dot is proud to support Helping Minds as its Charity Partner for October.
HelpingMinds offers free Mental Health Education, Services and Carer Support across Western Australia.
With nearly 50 years of service, they understand that living with mental health challenges can be a difficult and isolating experience, not only for the person experiencing mental health challenges but also their loved ones.
They provide a wide range of mental health services including
Mental Health Education
- Mental health education programs for schools, workplaces and the community
- Recovery College that provides students with the knowledge and tools to find the most meaning, confidence and enjoyment in day-to-day life
Mental Health Services
- Individualised support services for people with a psychosocial disability
- Early intervention programs for young people aged between 7 and 17 who have emotional or social difficulties or are at risk of developing a mental health challenge*
*Available to young people living in City of Swan, Geraldton, Carnarvon, Broome
Mental Health Carer Support
- Carer Advocacy – Helping family members to understand their rights as carers
- Counselling
- Support groups and workshops
- School Holiday and after school programs for young carers
- Carer Peer support
- Carer Respite
