3 Spring Smoothie Recipes
As the warmer, spring weather hits, here are our favourite smoothie tips and recipes to make at any time of the day!
Recipes:
Banana Cinnamon
- 1 frozen banana
- 300ml of milk (or any milk of your choice)
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 10g honey
- Optional: protein powder of your choice
Tropical Paradise
- 1 cup mango chunks
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 cup pineapple
- 20g coconut milk
- 200ml almond milk (or any milk of your choice)
- Optional: 10g honey
Green Machine
- 1 handful fresh Spinach
- 1 handful fresh Kale
- 250ml Coconut water
- 1 cup frozen blueberries
- ½ an Avocado
- 100g Pineapple
- 1 frozen Banana
- 4 dates
- Optional: 1tsp spirulina or any greens powder
Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth, and you’re ready to GO! Depending on your blender and desired consistency, you may need to add more liquid than listed.
Extra Tips:
- Add in leafy greens like kale or spinach – you cannot taste it, and perfect way to get some extra greens into your kids! You can also add in some fresh zucchini or cauliflower.
- Using coconut water as the base liquid is a great way to add extra flavour and nutrients
- Adding yoghurt to your smoothie will add extra flavour and protein
